Very informative. As a relative newbie to Twitter I am guilty of at least two of the seven you mentioned so will adjust accordingly. Thank you for the advice.

So far I haven't had anyone unfollow me, but I've considered unfollowing some people for some of the reasons you gave in your post.
Also I'm getting tired of all the RT's for a following. I'm not sure how I got on the listing for this but there is so may to follow up on and I get on people's lists who are not even following me, nor I them. Go figure!

Christine,

We are thrilled that you liked the post. Twitter can be confusing at first but stick with it relationships and rapport develop with time.

Like anything in life, people's approach to Twitter does vary. Some twitterites will reply to you whilst others don't. Personally we like to reply.

How do you Retweet? This is a great question that most people ask. Recently we posted a blog that included 12 terrific twitter tips, one of the tips was how to Retweet. We hope this answers your question.

Kind Regards
Julie Garoni and Paul Dawson

Good comments... wish more tweeters would read your post!

I'm not super active on twitter. I guess I don't always know what to say and when I reply to someone's tweet with a comment or question, or just post a general question and no one replies, I get discouraged.

I'm still having a hard time seeing the value. Once someone's tweet goes to the next page you don't see it anyway. So how can you develop rapport except through DM's?

OH and curious... HOW to you "retweet" something? Just cut & paste or is there a proper way to do this on twitter?
